Plainfield Swim Teams Sweep County Event over Semester Break

The Plainfield swim programs continue to enjoy an impressive season. Over semester break, both the girls and boys teams captured the 2025 Hendricks Regional Health Invitational, a Hendricks County event hosted by Brownsburg. The boys team earned the championship with a total score of 381, finishing ahead of Brownsburg (264), Avon (241), Danville (138), Cascade (111), and Tri-West (100). Individual event winners for the Quakers included Jaxon Russell in the 50-yard freestyle with a winning time of 21.86, Kyle Shelton in the 100-yard breaststroke at 1:04.15, and Eli Gessner in diving with a score of 404.35. The 300-yard freestyle relay team of Preston Irving, Aiden Guthrie, Nick Barrick, and Jaxon Russell also took first place with a time of 1:30.12. The girls team posted a winning score of 349, followed by Brownsburg (267), Avon (242), Tri-West (181), Danville (111), and Cascade (98). Individual champions for Plainfield included Aubrie Keating in the 50-yard freestyle (25.22), Adele Simon in the 100-yard butterfly (1:01.26), and Maddie Moore in the 500-yard freestyle (5:29.51). The Quakers also dominated the relays, winning the 200-yard medley relay with Julia Baker, Aubrie Keating, Adele Simon, and Maddie Moore posting a time of 1:52.77. The 200-yard freestyle relay team of Maddie Moore, Adele Simon, Allison Woodard, and Aubrie Keating won in 1:42.20, while the 400-yard freestyle relay team of Aubrie Keating, Ava Becker, Reese Rosbottom, and Allison Woodard took first with a time of 3:46.24. Head coach Coach Johnson praised the overall effort, saying, “The girls and boys swim and dive teams put together a complete team effort to win the county. Between the swimmers and divers, the girls won seven events, including all three relays. Between the swimmers and diver, the boys won four events, including a relay.”
