Plainfield Boys Swim Wins 8th Straight Sectional Title

The Plainfield Quakers made it eight in a row, capturing their 8th consecutive sectional championship on Saturday at Avon! Plainfield finished with 508 team points, ahead of Avon High School, which placed second with 458 points. 🥇 Individual Champions: Several Quakers delivered standout performances: Jaxon Russell claimed two sectional titles: - 50-yard freestyle — 21.49 seconds - 100-yard butterfly — 51.10 seconds Rheid Busby soared to victory in diving, earning a championship score of 453 points. Preston Irving won the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 48.45 seconds. Kyle Shelton captured the 100-yard breaststroke title in 1:01.26. 🥇 Relay Champions: The relay team of Preston Irving, Aiden Guthrie, Nicholas Dunaway, and Jaxon Russell powered their way to first place in the: 🏊‍♂️ 200-yard freestyle relay — 1:26.88 🥇 Relay Champions: Nicholas Dunaway, Aiden Guthrie, Preston Irving, and Jaxon Russell powered their way to first place in the: 🏊‍♂️ 400-yard freestyle relay — 3:15.06 The Quakers now turn their focus to the state finals, which begin Friday at the Natatorium downtown.
