The Plainfield cross country teams were back in action Saturday, hosting the 2025 Plainfield Hokum Karem and turning in strong performances against a competitive field. On the boys’ side, the Quakers placed 7th as a team. Leading the way was the duo of Ryan Evans and Zane Deugan, who ran to a 5th-place finish individually. The pair averaged an impressive 5:05 per mile in the relay-style event. The Plainfield girls also had a strong run, finishing 5th overall as a team. The tandem of Adisyn Gorrell and Katie Campbell ran a strong race, placing 3rd with a steady 5:58 mile pace. Both teams will look to build on this momentum when they travel to the Franklin Invitational on Saturday, August 30, with the first race set to begin at 8:30 a.m.
