The Plainfield Quakers continued their stellar season Thursday night with a four-set victory over Carmel (20-25, 25-23, 25-22, 25-22), moving to 22-4 on the year. Audrey Utterback delivered a dominant performance, posting a huge double-double with 28 kills and 21 digs. Setter Charlee Groninger ran the offense efficiently, dishing out 53 assists on the night. Defensively, the Quakers were anchored by Savannah Brock’s 20 digs and Taylor Donovon’s 14 digs, while Macyn Jones (5 block assists) and Elian Tucker (4 block assists) held strong at the net. Offensively, Marley VanWanzeele added 15 kills from the middle to balance Plainfield’s attack. The Quakers now turn their attention to a big matchup against Westfield on Saturday. JV first serve is set for 10:00 a.m., followed by varsity. Quaker fans are encouraged to come out and support Coach Pax and the team!
